At Triangle Pre-School, we’re proud to offer more than just early years education. We create experiences that build confidence, friendships and a love for learning. One of the most joyful events on our calendar is sports day, and this year’s celebration, was nothing short of amazing.
We were thrilled to host our sports day on the spacious grounds of Weeke Primary School, right here in Winchester. Their generosity meant we had plenty of room for exciting races, games and, perhaps most special of all, the chance for siblings to join in the fun. This added a real sense of family and community to the day, bringing smiles not just to our children but to older brothers and sisters too.

A Day Full of Fun and Friendly Competition
The energy was high from the moment the children arrived. Dressed in their sports clothes and full of enthusiasm, they took part in a wide variety of events designed to be active, inclusive and, most importantly, fun.
Some of the highlights included:
- Running Races – Our little athletes gave it their all, sprinting with determination and cheering on their friends.
- Egg and Spoon Races – A favourite for all ages. This event brought lots of giggles as children balanced plastic eggs while carefully making their way to the finish line.
- Beanbag Toss – Great for developing hand-eye coordination. Children loved aiming for the targets and celebrating every hit.
- Sack Races – Hopping to victory was harder than it looked, but everyone showed amazing perseverance.
- Family Fun Races – With the support of siblings and family members, our final group games wrapped up the day with laughter and connection.
These activities are not only enjoyable, but they also support essential skills like coordination, balance, teamwork and communication. All are key parts of early childhood development.
A Big Thank You to Our Community
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Weeke Primary School for letting us use their fantastic outdoor space. It made a big difference and helped us bring together children, parents and siblings for a day that felt truly special.
