The policies of the Triangle Pre-School define the way we run our pre-school. We have divided them into two categories. For a summary of each policy or to download our full policy documents, please click on the links below.
- General Policies: cover areas such as admission, complaints, confidentiality, equality and other administrative policies, as well as addressing how we communicate with parents.
- Health, Safety, Medical & Welfare Policies: cover all areas associated with the well-being of our children such as the fire drill procedure, our critical incident and first aid policies and the safeguarding policies for both children and staff. They also address day-to-day issues such as our sunscreen policy and how we manage sick or infectious children.
Why do we have policies?
All schools are required to have a clear set of policies and procedures. They are like a firm foundation on which we build our school. The comprehensive set of guidelines enables children, staff, the management committee and parents to work together to benefit the learning potential of each child. They provide common understanding and agreement on how things should be done. Well-defined procedures provide clear instructions on what should be done in a particular set of circumstances or with regard to a particular issue.
